Teachers: Sue Nevill-Parker (Susie) owns and runs the Arrow Equestrian Centre and specialises in helping both novice and advanced riders experience balance, harmony and ease both on the lunge and riding free. She has a wide selection of horses - Andalucian, Lusitano, warm blood, connemara and TB cross - which she trains and rides regularly so that they continue to give valuable and accurate feedback to their riders. Most of the lessons are on a one-to-one basis with many clients booking several lessons over 3 or 4 days to gain the maximum benefit from Sue’s expertise. Sue Adams Wheeler is the other half of “The two Sues” and has her own BHS approved establishment, the Sue Adams Riding School, which is just a few miles from the Arrow Equestrian Centre. The school caters for riders of all ages and abilities including the disabled and Sue lectures and teaches abroad on a regular basis Erik Herbermann , author of “Dressage Formula” and “A Horseman’s Notebook” is widely recognised as one of the last great Classical Riding teachers. He gives annual clinics at the Arrow Equestrian Centre and his lessons are an inspiration to the serious Classical rider. The Alexander Technique has a particular affinity with riding and has long been recognised as a valuable tool to help riders improve their posture, balance and co-ordination. MSTAT qualified teachers, Felicity Mann, and Philippa Morrell, both experienced riders, teach frequently at the Arrow Equestrian Centre. |
